February 2022: Make 2022 a Greener year!

DID YOU KNOW - London Environmental Network (founded in 2015) helps protect our environment and build a more sustainable community supporting local environmental organizations.

           A few reminders from them to make 2022 a Greener Year:

* Shop from vendors at your local farmer's market (when in season).

* Plan your vegetable garden for next season.

* Rethink, reduce, reuse and recycle your products.

* Reduce food wastes by meal prepping, freezing or using up leftovers.

* Join your local neighbourhood "Buy Nothing Group".

* Fixing items or buying refurbished products instead of new ones. 

* Participate in a river cleanup.

* Monitor and reduce water usage at home.

* Upgrading your light systems to LED light bulbs.

* Switch to renewable or more energy efficient appliances.

* Attend a Green in the City event for more ideas.

REMEMBER - Save used batteries. Save plastic bags or take to Metro.

REMEMBER - Support the UCW (recycling used clothing and material to make sleeping bags for the homeless).

                      The key to Greener Planet is in our hands.
