Calvary Compass – February 27, 2024 - Calvary United Church, www.calvaryuc.ca
Dear Friends of Calvary,
This Sunday, we will hold our Congregational Annual Meeting after our worship service in the sanctuary. The meeting will be both in-person and on Zoom. It will take at least 15 minutes to switch to Zoom, set up the microphones and table and chairs. With a shorter service format, we hope to begin the in-person and Zoom meeting at approximately 11:30. For those on Zoom, instructions will be emailed prior to the meeting on how to vote or ask questions using the "raise hand" function or "chat" for those who are the second person in the household wishing to vote.
This is a reminder that the payment for Broadview is due Friday, March 1st. Please make your cheque out to Calvary United Church with Broadview written in the memo line. The cost is $30.

Psalm for the Week:
Psalm 19: 1, 8, 13-14 from the Holman Christian Standard Bible
1The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky[a] proclaims the work of His hands.
8The precepts of the Lord are right,
making the heart glad;
the command of the Lord is radiant,
making the eyes light up.
13 Moreover, keep Your servant from willful sins;
do not let them rule over me.
Then I will be innocent
and cleansed from blatant rebellion.
14 May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable to You,
Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.
Prayer for the Week:
God,
we lift our thanks to you for the blessings that you have
bestowed on us. In our humbleness though we can only
understand you within the limits of our minds.
May we continue to give you thanks as we acknowledge that
you are the source of all that sustains us.
In your care we find comfort and joy in our Lenten journey. Amen.
