January 2022: Calvary Green Update
Our Pollinator Garden update…. Spring will be here soon and we have some exciting plans ……our ‘wish list’ is growing!
We resumed the collection of used batteries in Church for recycling. last November…. WHY? Batteries are recyclable. Batteries contain dangerous chemicals , necessary for their function but harmful to our landfill and the environment. Never throw in trash. From the 50 local business collection sites, they are then sent off to the Recycling Facility ( Call2 Recycle), discharged and then their material is sorted. All types of batteries are recyclable - and we take them all !!
There are 4 battery boxes located around the Church - Parking lot door, Garfield ramp door, Annex hallway , Ridout St. doors.
Remember to bring reusable water/ beverage containers to Church when we resume.
