Psalm for the Week
Psalm 1: 1 - 3 from the New International Version translation
Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who mediates on his law day and night.
The person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither--
whatever they do prospers.
Prayer for the Week
Loving God,
We thank you for always providing for us as we move through
life's seasons.
Help us to focus on you, and not on the forces that oppose you.
We flourish with your tender care and need nothing else.
Accompany us on our journey, now and forever.
In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
