Calvary Compass – October 25, 2022 - Calvary United Church, www.calvaryuc.ca
Dear Friends of Calvary,
Hopefully everyone has been able to get outside and enjoy the lovely weather that we are having right now. It helps when we are trying to get your leaves raked and your gardens prepared for winter. Please remember that the herbs from the outside planters at our church are now in the library if you want a few sprigs to take home for your meals. It will also give you an opportunity to check out the wonderful selection of material in our church library. Darlene Sanderson is in the library on Sundays after our worship services.
Rev. Kerry Stover is away at a Preaching Conference in Toronto today. If you have any Emergency Pastoral Care needs, please contact the Church Office so that Kim can contact Rev. Wendy Noble who is covering for Rev. Kerry.
Worship Services are all live-streamed:
• October 30 – https://youtu.be/cPhfadmb10Q
• November 6 – https://youtu.be/m9cX98y7BwA
• Recorded service for October 23 - https://youtu.be/0qcO-IB5UQY

Scripture Readings - Psalm 119: 137-144 VU 841; Luke 6: 20-31
Psalm for the Week:
Psalm 32: 6-7
Therefore let all who are faithful
offer prayer to you;
At a time of distress, the rush of the mighty waters
shall not reach them.
You are a hiding place for me;
you preserve me from trouble;
you surround me with glad cries of deliverance.
Prayer for the Week:
O God of every child,
you have responded graciously to the
prayers of humankind.
Thank you for hearing our prayers today
for healing, help, and guidance.
We give thanks to you for your goodness
and grace. In His name we pray. Amen.
