Something to consider!

Equality is not about making everyone the same. It's about providing supports that align with individual gifts and circumstances. Fairness is not about levelling the playing field, but about completely redefining the way the game is played, so everyone can participate fully, and in the ways that showcase their beautiful uniqueness. (An excerpt from a letter written for the Brescia College newsletter by Asma Musa - Honours Specialization, Food and Nutritional Sciences)

KIWANIS MUSIC FESTIVAL – need Volunteers

Calvary will be hosting the Kiwanis Music Festival from April 17-20 and April 25-28. Each day, there are two or three sessions where children and youth will be performing vocally. The house managers would be pleased to have volunteers assist in either welcoming participants and parents, which includes checking names and collecting admission or acting as a secretary, who records the results of the adjudications. If you are interested in volunteering for a morning or afternoon or evening during the above dates would you please contact Mary Margaret to set up a suitable time.

Thank you!

Psalm for Holy Week:

Psalm 36: 7-9 (New International Version translation)

How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!

    People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

They feast on the abundance of your house;

    you give them drink from your river of delights.

For with you is the fountain of life;

    in your light we see light.

Prayer for Holy Week:

O God,

Your Son chose the path that led to pain before joy

and the cross before glory.

Plant his cross in our hearts, so that in its power

and love we may come at last to joy and glory,

through Jesus Christ, our Saviour, who lives and

reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God,

now and forever.  Amen.
