Dear Friends of Calvary,
Starting on Monday, August 19th, workmen are performing an upgrade on Calvary's lift (elevator). Consequently, no one will be able to use the lift for two weeks. For the Sunday, August 25th Worship Service, the lift will not be operational and as a result people who cannot climb stairs will not have access to the sanctuary. However it is hoped to be working for Sunday, September 1st.
Rev. Kerry is taking vacation from August 19th to September 4th. If you are in need of Emergency Pastoral Care, please give Kim a call in the church office and she will connect you with whomever is covering for Rev. Kerry.
Please remember that Kim is only in the church office from 9:00 am to 12 Noon, Tuesday to Friday. She will return to her usual hours on September 4th. You can always leave the message on the answering machine.
The next edition of the Compass is Wednesday, September 4th. We will re-start our weekly editions then.
September News – The Covenant Players return on Sunday, September 8th. There will be a free-will offering to support their work. Come and enjoy their creative presentation!

If you have photos with people in them, please make certain that they have signed a permission slip.
CHAMPION
The CHAMPION group will be meeting in the Meeting Room this Wednesday (August 21st) due to the lift not being operational. Please enter through the Garfield ramp door. The meeting on Wednesday, September 4th will be back in the parlour.
CALVARY GREEN
Plastic Recycling Event - September 6th, 7th and 8th from 11 am - 3 pm
Where: Heemans - 20422 Nissouri Road - London
Accepting horticultural containers, flats, pots, etc. (Please remove excess planting material etc. and rinse!)
Proceeds of sale will benefit London Environmental Network (LEN).
