URGENT MESSAGE FROM ARK AID
Ark Aid has been short of food during the summer especially on weekends. They have consistently been serving 150+ people for each lunch and dinner.
If you or your family, team or other community group are able to create 20 bags to drop off at First Baptist Church Friday, Saturday or Sunday through August and September that would be a big help.
Here is the link to sign up:

Items can be sandwiches, granola bars, juice boxes, water, fruit, treats, yogurt, bagels, etc.
Feel free to pass the link along to others. Ark Aid thanks you for your help and concern for those in need in our community.
RIDOUT DOORS ON SUNDAYS
In the previous Calvary Compass, it was stated that the Ridout doors would be shut when the prelude began, but left unlocked in case people were late arriving. It was mentioned that a sign Welcoming people to come in for the worship service and to knock if unable to get in because the doors were sticking would be placed on the pillars. It was decided that the ushers would place these signs on the outside handles of the doors instead of placing them on the pillars. Hopefully this has not caused any confusion.
Calvary’s Library is now open for 30 minutes before Sunday service and 30 minutes after.

Psalm for the Week:
Psalm 25: 16-18
Turn to me and be gracious to me,
for I am lonely and afflicted.
Relieve the troubles of my heart,
and bring me out of my distress.
Consider my afflictions and my trouble
and forgive my sins.
Prayer for the Week:
God of our journey,
in our wilderness you have attended to our loneliness
and cleared a way to you and to each other.
Grant us the strength, wisdom and the will to take steps
together into the future of safety and compassion. Amen.
