Calvary Compass – March 21, 2023 - Calvary United Church, www.calvaryuc.ca

Dear Friends of Calvary,

Today is the beginning of Spring. Hopefully March will leave us like a lamb and the sunny and warmer weather will arrive soon.

The Easter letters are printed and located at the back of the sanctuary. If you see a neighbour's letter, please pick it up and deliver it to their house. Read your letter carefully since it contains all of the Lenten and Easter services information and Stewardship and Finance's Appeal. Please prayerfully consider your donation.

The Easter Catalyst will be emailed out on Friday to those we have email addresses for as well as mailed to those without.

Psalm for the Week:

Psalm 130 vs 1, 7-8 (NRSV translation)

Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord.

O Israel, hope in the Lord!

    For with the Lord there is steadfast love,

    and with him is great power to redeem.

It is he who will redeem Israel

    from all its iniquities.

 Prayer for the Week;

God of mercy and grace,

You came to us in the person of Jesus and shared

in our humanity. You know our brokenness and

our temptations. Forgive our wandering from your ways,

encourage us to listen, and strengthen us to follow. Amen.
