Lenten Project 2022 - Ark Aid Street Mission
This Lenten, the Outreach Committee is encouraging us to donate to Ark Aid Street Mission. Their mission objective is to aid neighbours in need. Ark Aid is dedicated to creating tools and services to help people get back on their feet and start more productive and joyful lives. Funds are always needed to cook food, heat the building, run the van to collect donated food and pay modest wages of the few staff. Donations of $20 or more will receive a receipt for tax purposes from Ark Aid. Please make your cheque out to "Ark Aid Street Mission" and place your donation on the offering plate or return to Calvary by Sunday, May 1st. Donation envelopes are located at the back of the sanctuary for your use.
Easter Dinner
For those that ordered the Easter Dinner, pick up is Thursday, April 14th between 2:30 and 3:00 pm in the Calvary parking lot.
"Creative Hands and Minds in Our Neighbourhood" will be meeting on Wednesday from 1-4 pm. There will still be bedrolls to make and knot and also card tables will be set up to play cards or games. Twenty-four of the made bedrolls with personal items in them were delivered to Ark Aid at their temporary home, First Baptist Church on Richmond Street, last Thursday. We still have lots of fabric, sheets and comforters to make more bedrolls for the homeless for those interested in helping make them.
Easter Flowers in memory of a loved-one:
A reminder – If you ordered a hydrangea, you can take your plant home following the Easter service.

The Psalm for this week:
Psalm 31: 23-24. (from the Names of God translation)
Love Yahweh, all you godly ones!
Yahweh protects faithful people,
but pays back in full those who act arrogantly.
Be strong, all who wait with hope for Yahweh,
and let your heart be courageous.
Prayer for the Week:
Almighty and loving God,
your most beloved child, Jesus Christ, suffered by human hands and
endured the shame of the cross. Be with us as we walk in the way of the
cross as it is the way of life, the way of love, and the way of peace.
In his blessed name we pray. Amen.
