Old Man Winter has brought us a surprise storm just when our flowers were starting to come up and we were thinking that winter was over. However the warm weather is also coming this weekend. Lenten Project 2022 - Ark Aid Street Mission
This Lenten, the Outreach Committee is encouraging us to donate to Ark Aid Street Mission. Their mission objective is to aid neighbours in need. Ark Aid is dedicated to creating tools and services to help people get back on their feet and start more productive and joyful lives. Funds are always needed to cook food, heat the building, run the van to collect donated food and pay modest wages of the few staff. Donations of $20 or more will receive a receipt for tax purposes from Ark Aid. Please make your cheque out to "Ark Aid Street Mission" and place your donation on the offering plate or return to Calvary by Sunday, May 1st. Donation envelopes are located at the back of the sanctuary for your use.
Bursaries and Scholarships
Financial Support for Pursuing Post Secondary School Education
Application Deadline: April 30th, 2022.
The Board of Trustees administers two programs designed to provide financial assistance to eligible applicants pursuing post-secondary education at a Canadian University or College. The application deadline for the school year starting this coming September is April 30th.

CHAMPION
"Creative Hands and Minds in Our Neighbourhood" - continues for those 55 plus from 1 to 4 pm on Wednesdays. There will be tables set up for card or game playing. There also will be more bedrolls to knot and make for those that prefer to sit and chat with their fellow knotters or for sewers who prefer to prepare the bedrolls for the knotters. It is an opportunity to get out and socialize with your friends and new people. There are always refreshments served.
A zip loc bag of hygiene items is included in bedrolls donated.

1-3 pm Sign Making. @Reimagine (206 Piccadilly St.) Join the faith communities making signs and banners for the rally.
3:30 pm Short Climate March downtown (some chairs provided at "Greening Sacred Spaces" booth for those not able to walk.)
3-7 Climate Fest in Victoria Park. Booths from local environmental groups, speakers, music and good food.
